About Sunbuzz

Sunbuzz is a high-energy rock & roll band based in Northport on Long Island’s North Shore. 

The band is led by songwriters Joe Mannix and Ed Fingerling, former members of the acclaimed 1990s NYC rock band Oral Groove, who released three albums and performed at iconic venues including Irving Plaza.

Mannix later formed the national touring- original roots rock band Mannix and then signed as a solo artist  with Bongo Beat Records (Canada). He toured solo acoustically as Joe Mannix,  opening for artists including Nora Jones, Hall & Oates, Peter Frampton, Joe Cocker, Bruce Hornsby, and CCR Revisited. Fingerling went on to front The Wild Deer, landing multiple song placements, including licensing deals with MTV.

Sunbuzz is rounded out by Dean Diaz (bass/vocals) and Vic Mercado (drums/vocals). Dean and Vic have their own high energy cover band, Dino and the Groovies.
